Restaurant Review: Burrito Boyz

This is a review of Burrito Boyz in Toronto's Entertainment District.

I first discovered Burrito Boyz in 2009 when one of my friends brought me there after a long bus ride to Toronto from Waterloo. It left a long lasting impression, and I soon became a loyal customer of Burrito Boyz in Waterloo. Over the last year, I have visited Waterloo's Burrito Boyz on a weekly basis, but it lacked consistency in size, weight, taste, and warmth that I sought. Now that I have moved to Toronto, I had to try the real Burrito Boyz again.

I visited Burrito Boyz on August 25th when there was Busker Festival in St. Lawrence Market. My girlfriend and I split a large steak burrito, which meant that I got a fewer number of toppings and less amount of XXX hot sauce. Nevertheless, it still tasted the same as it did 3 years ago, which well demonstrates the restaurant's commitment to quality despite its growing clientele.

From what I have heard, the line up gets really long during busy hours. Luckily, I have been able to avoid long line-ups during my past two visits. If you are in a hurry to get a burrito on the go, I suggest calling in advance to place an order for pick up. My roommates and I did that every week while we were in Waterloo, and it is a great time saver. If you want to become a regular customer, I suggest purchasing a burrito card, which gives you back 10% of the purchase amount which can later be used to buy a burrito.

I am giving Burrito Boyz 4 out of 5 stars. (★★★★☆)
