2013

Since starting my job last year, I have neglected my blog and photography. I found myself bringing my camera out less and less, and I can hardly remember the last time I brought my camera on a trip.

Last year, I had a chance to visit many parts of Canada including Vancouver, Calgary, Edmonton, Saskatoon, Winnipeg, Montreal, Fredericton, Moncton, St. John, and Halifax. I am going to go through my archive and share any photos that I think are worthy to be shown.

The first set is from my trip to Edmonton. My colleague and I completed our job ahead of schedule and had a full day to spare. I decided that Jasper might be worth a visit, and decided to go for a ride on Jasper Tramway.

The view from the top of Whistlers Mountain was spectacular, accompanied by phenomenal weather with unlimited visibility.

Unfortunately, we only had less than an hour at the top of the mountain as we had been booked for a flight out of Edmonton later that afternoon.

By the time we got to the airport, the weather had turned sour, and our scheduled flight ended up getting cancelled resulting in frustration of many passengers.

I ended up having to stay in Edmonton one extra night. Had I known that my flight was going to be cancelled I would have spent more time in Jasper where everything felt so much closer to nature.

The next day at the airport, I ran into the members of the band, Walk off the Earth, who were traveling with the newborn baby.

Having seen them perform at the Samsung Galaxy S4 Launch Event in Toronto, I brought up the courage to talk to them and congratulate them on the baby.

My visits to other parts of Canada are not quite as exciting, although I have been a victim of many flight delays. I can't complain enough about the level of customer service I have experienced from both WestJet and AirCanada, which I will save for another post.
