Stars

At 4 A.M. this morning, I decided to go to Tim Hortons and get an XL French Vanilla. But when I arrived there, I was told that registers close at 4 A.M. everyday for about ten minutes. Disappointed, I was about to head back to residence, but I realized that I could see the stars so much better on the Village 1 Green.

I had been planning to look at the stars from the V1 Green for this entire year, but I had not done so before because I simply did not have anyone to go with. But because it was my last night in Waterloo, I decided to do what I have always wanted to do.

I was captivated by the beauty of the stars, and did not realize that time had passed by. As I was connecting dots in the sky with my laser pointer, I noticed other people's presence behind a bush.

As selfish as it may sound, I was not happy with others' presence because I was having an intimate time with the Creator in what I'd like to call a sanctuary (it had become so that fast). And they had disturbed that for whatever it was they were doing in the woods at 4:00 A.M.

2 Corinthians 13:5-9
Test yourselves to make sure you are solid in the faith. Don't drift along taking everything for granted. Give yourselves regular checkups. You need firsthand evidence, not mere hearsay, that Jesus Christ is in you. Test it out. If you fail the test, do something about it. I hope the test won't show that we have failed. But if it comes to that, we'd rather the test showed our failure than yours. We're rooting for the truth to win out in you. We couldn't possibly do otherwise.
